Team Blackfoot rider Doug DeHaan rode to a second overall behind his teammate Blair Morgen at Temple Hill Race Track in Raymond Alberta Canada.  This was round four of the Canadian Nationals.

Moto one “I had a good holeshot and was in third place.  I got around the second place rider Rusty Holland and with Blair Morgen crashing I was in first and leading.  I lead the race from about the halfway point until there were two laps left.  I slide out in a corner and went down.  After remounting I was able to finish third.”

Moto two “I had a similar holeshot but was pushed off the track and clipped a hay bail but didn’t go down.  I race and steady race and with two laps to go I moved into second place where I finished the moto.  I was stoked as this gave me second overall for the day.”

“I am hoping for good results at Winnipeg.  In 1999 I won the 250cc class and in 2000 I was third overall.  They have a concrete starting pad so I will have to work on that this week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Doug DeHaan
