Doug DeHaan Riding Strong at the End of the 125 East SX Season

4/11/2004

As the Supercross East coast series ended I finished up the series well!  After the13th place at Indianapolis I did a ton of laps at Davi Millsaps’s SX track over the next week and a half which made me feel much more comfortable on the bike at Pontiac, MI.

I wanted to finish off the series with a good showing and things looked great in the heat race as I had a great ride.  I got a strong start and finished 4th.  Great way to head to the main event.

In the main I didn't get through the first turn that well.  I tangled with a few guys, which put me way back.  As the race progressed I got into some good battles but they just were not at the front of the pack.

I passed Justin Brayton in the last turn of the race, which put me into 18th.  Nothing impressive but I fought hard to catch up.

So right now I’m back in Florida and thinking about heading out west to finish off the 250 SX's on my Yamaha.  I rode my YZ 250 yesterday and love it!  I’m going to see, if I can get everything together for Dallas and if it all works out I will go for it!

Talk to you later,

DD
